Tribute Acts

We’ve all been to one of those weddings. Uncle Ian is dosed up on Stella, waving around on the dancefloor to the tune of Agadoo courtesy of DJ Disco Dave whilst the little cousins play hide and seek underneath the tables. If this isn’t really your ideal way to see in married life, a tribute band could be what you’re looking for.

I know, I know! The very word “tribute” can send shivers running down your spine, but they can be a lot of fun in the right environment.

For an older theme, try hiring a good old fashioned brass band. Most large towns have their very own band so they are relatively easy to get hold of and can add a great atmosphere to the celebrations.

For something a little more Golden Era, how about a classic Big Band? This can span a number of decades, from the 30s up to the 50s. State 51 Sound have a track list consisting of everyone from Benny Goodman to Frank Sinatra so you can mix and match for your perfect wedding soundtrack.

Looking for something a bit more modern? Try a tribute to those most famous of Scousers, The Beatles. The brilliantly named Cheatles have a fabulous reputation and would bring an upbeat mood to your big day.

Finally, we’ve approached the 70s. Maybe not music’s classiest era but, let’s face it, a whole lot of fun! Abba, Bee Gees, T Rex…  there are so many bands to choose from, no matter your personal taste. Or why not surprise everyone and go for the Village Boyz– your guests won’t be expecting it, that’s for sure!
